Halloween is an old Irish festival. Hallow means holy and the Irish suffix ‘een’ means small
(e.g. colleen; Seaneen; gombeen; Jackeen; etc.)
Its the day before All Saints Day and the last chance the demons have to walk the Earth.
So people dress up in costumes to confuse the demons
(just like bridesmaids get dressed up to confuse the King about who the bride is)
Imagine if you saw a devil on Halloween – you would be terrified
but if everyone is in costume you couldn’t tell for sure.
So Halloween is a small holy day and a Christian tradition,
you don’t have to feel guilty about celebrating it.
That southern dude in hour two is amazing. I’m buying what he is selling. Want to hear more.
